1. The therapist’s hygiene must be impeccable.
2. Well-groomed physical appearance: cut, shaved…
3. The therapist does not eat strongly smelling foods (onions, garlic) even the night before.
4. The therapist will not wear jewelry or other accessories that could harm the beneficiaries.
5. Professional secrecy is the law: the therapist ensures the confidentiality and security of all information regarding the beneficiaries and their workplace.
6. The therapist will not ridicule the possible physical or other deficiencies of the beneficiaries.
7. Punctuality expresses respect for the beneficiary, so it is mandatory.
8. The therapist does not touch the beneficiary with other parts of the body except for those necessary for the therapeutic act.
9. The therapist does not confuse private life with professional life: he will not make sexual hints or advances to the beneficiaries.
10. The therapist will have a kind, helpful, respectful, supportive and positive behavior in the relationship with the beneficiaries and colleagues (does not sigh, does not complain about neighbors, wife…).
11. The therapist ensures and is responsible for the application of all hygiene measures that the therapeutic act implies.
12. The therapeutic act will be adapted according to the state of health of the beneficiaries.
13. He will provide therapeutic information to the beneficiaries only at his own level of qualification and will direct him, as the case may be, to specialists with the necessary training (psychologists, doctors…)
14. The therapist informs the beneficiary about the procedures to follow and their therapeutic effects.
15. Never apply therapeutic maneuvers or procedures without the consent of the beneficiary.
16. The therapist takes care of raising his own professional level, by participating in courses, seminars, congresses…
